He Farmed 1100 acres of sheep and beef farm at Tauhei (Parahiwi), plus 500 acres of beef farm at Tirau (Oaklands). Clive established a well respected Angus Beef cattle stud at Parahiwi and extended it to Oaklands, which comprised higher quality lush Waikato farmland.

The Tauhei farm was part of a larger block purchased by HD Williams around 1935. His father had cleared approx 70% of the scrubland by the time Clive took it over.

Clive and Elizabeth raised five children on Parahiwi then sold it around 1979 and moved to a small farm on Heatherington rd Tirau, very close to Oaklands.
After some years they sold the Heatherington Rd property and he moved to the Waitakeri ranges in Auckland (around 1981).
After around 4 years, in May1985 he moved into Auckland city at Meadowbank (see picture above).
There he met Judith, and in 1988 while on a trip to Australia, they got married in Sydney. (Certificate)
Judith’s children, Carol, Michelle and Jason were an integral part of his life from then until his passing.

A large part of Clive’s life was spent in Tauhei.
He was brought up on the family farm at Seifert rd.
He went to Tauhei school (started 1935), and in later years was on the School Committee for over 10 years (1965 to 1976)

Clive spent a number of years on the Piako County Council in Morrinsville, and was a JP for his last 20 years.

His secondary schooling (13-17 yr old) was at New Plymouth Boys High boarding school, after which he returned to Morrinsville. New Plymouth Boys was one of the few boarding schools available at that time.

From the age of 17, Clive worked on Zetta‘s farm (part of the original Seifert rd farm) after her husband Arthur was killed in a shooting accident in 1947, then he eventually went into partnership with his father HD Williams on Parahiwi. and subsequently (1957) Clive and Elizabeth bought Henry out of the partnership.

At the age of 23, Clive and Elizabeth were married in 1953 and they lived in a new house that he had built on Parahiwi. (Prior to that there was a workers cottage). Clive had begun building it about a year before they were married. Elizabeth had gone overseas for a year in a preplanned trip with her school friends in 1952 and they were married upon her return, so he had that time to get the build started.
Prior to 1953 he was brought up on the family farm at Seifert rd then in Morrinsville, and for a while, worked and lived on Zetta‘s part of the farm (1947-1950 ?).
After returning from school he spent time living at the family home (dairy farm) in Morrinsville. (from 1944 when it was built, to 1947 he would have been at New Plymouth Boys High boarding school (as a 14-17 yr old)).
He would drive the 7 miles from Morrinsville to Parahiwi each day, to work on the farm.
